From My Heart

I want to thank our wonderful church family for the kindness you poured into my 70th birthday. I sat for three hours last Monday evening opening cards and reading each one! I enjoyed each and every one! Thank you for the gift certificates and for your generous giving. I simply do not have words to express how you helped turning 70 - be a little easier to digest. Praise the Lord for this wonderful family we have here at our church. Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

There is an amendment on the ballot this November that everyone needs to know about because it will do unbelievable things to children and families. The bill, called “Question 1” is worded in such a way that when you read it, you will think, “Well, I like this idea, I don’t want to do anything that will deny anyone’s rights and liberty!” The rest of the bill is another Progressive “word salad” which allows abortion in the State of Maryland. It is designed to make abortion legal in Maryland, giving a woman the “right” to abort her baby at any time and for any reason, during her pregnancy.

Of course, in the brief explanation of the amendment, the word “abortion” is not used. This bill also takes transgender issues away from parents and protects minors who want to change their gender. There is no minimum age, and it allows for males to transition to female and females to male. And even worse, this amendment to the MD Constitution allows minors to do this foolishness without parental consent.

You might ask, “Well, who will be paying for all this stuff?” Well, that is where “we the people” come into the picture. This new “right” is something the tax-paying people of Maryland will finance. What is it with Progressive Democrats and their obsession with abortion? Abortion seems to be their “Sacred Cow” to which they all bow down to worship daily! The human inside that mother’s womb is a living soul. The right to life is in our U.S. Constitution, but these people want to override that “right” (which was given to us from God) and replace it with this new “right to kill.” Our eternal God in Heaven is the giver and taker of life. One cannot with just the stroke of a pen take from God what belongs to Him.

I am definitely voting “NO” for this amendment! They are hoping to slip this past the people of Maryland, and probably will - but it is going to place our home State in direct line with God’s wrath and judgment. This is nothing but a Socialist ploy to allow the State to make decisions for your children and remove you (the parents) from even knowing what your child or children are doing. Your young underage daughter can get an abortion without your consent. This amendment will remove your authority over your children, and you will be replaced by the “all-wise, all-knowing State of Maryland.”

You need to tell your co-workers, your family, your neighbors, and anyone else who might listen, and warn them not to vote “Yes” on this amendment! They describe it as “Question 1.” Do you see the disguise in that? They don’t call it what it is, an “Amendment to the State of Maryland Constitution.” You are voting on whether you want to change the law here in Maryland, give up your parental rights, legalize murder, and add who knows how much more of a tax burden on the people who actually pay the taxes. We better wake up! Vote NO! The reason we keep going in this direction of Socialism is because we keep electing Socialists to our government!

It is time for us to stand up and put a stop to this madness!

Pastor Norris
