From My Heart
Merry Christmas! From our family to yours, we want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas! Karen and I are grateful for all the cards, cookies, breads, and for the very generous
offering you gave us last week. We certainly appreciate your kindness and the thoughtfulness you have shown to us throughout this Christmas season. The Lord has been so good to us and our family, and it is a joy to be the pastor of this great body of believers.
This Christmas season we have seen a huge increase in people calling the church to ask if we can give money to help families with Christmas for their children. There are certainly a lot of folks having a hard time! If we gave just one family money, we would have a line from the back door all the way over to the mall! I wish we could help every time we get a call- but that is impossible! However, we did help the families of those men and women in the Carroll County Detention
Center, by providing Christmas gifts for their families and also providing a Christmas dinner and a brand new Bible. I am sure we will hear a few testimonies of the visits to those families in the weeks ahead. Although we are unable to hand out money, we do offer these families who call us food from the Church pantry. Many folks are blessed by the generosity of our church family as you bring food items to keep our pantry well stocked.
Let me remind you of our Christmas Eve Candlelight service this evening at 6:00 p.m. We will have some beautiful Christmas music and a message from God’s Word. The
service should only be about an hour in length. I hope you and your family will be here for this special time as a church family.
Again, Karen and I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas! I hope you will have the opportunity to be with your family and will enjoy being together with those you love most in this world.
Have a wonderful day and may the Lord bless you richly!
Pastor Norris
