From My Heart

Please pray for the National Sword of the Lord Conference taking place this week in Walkertown, North Carolina. I am preaching on Wednesday evening at the 7:00 p.m. service and would sure appreciate you praying for the Lord to bless and help me as I preach His Word. Folks come from all over the planet to this conference and many others watch it on the Internet.

The trip to the Holy Land will be closing on August 1, so if you are planning to travel with us, you will need to contact the Travel Agency to reserve your spot. In studying the itinerary for the nine days in Israel, we are going to see some new places and even a few which have been discovered and uncovered in the last couple of years. We will, of course, go to the highlight places that every trip to Israel must visit, like Mt. Calvary, the Garden Tomb, the Old City of Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee, Jericho, the Dead Sea, and several others.

If the cost of the entire trip is prohibitive, let me encourage you to consider just going to the Israel part of the trip - that alone will be a life-changing trip! We are staying in excellent hotels, travelling in an air-conditioned coach, and the Travel Company is hiring one of the best guides in Israel for our trip. If you have always wanted to go to Israel, this is a trip you will want to take. You can call Living Passages, at

888-771-8717. You can also go to their website (livingpassages.com) and use the code OPENDOOR2023 to get the information or to sign up. This is a trip of a lifetime, and I hope you will rethink it and go with us.

I wish I could take everyone in our church family so we could go from Dan to Beersheba, from north to south, to see all the wonderful places! I would love to be able to look at your faces when the Bible comes alive right before your very eyes. I have had some folks say, “If we don’t take the entire trip, it will be terrible to have to part with the group going on to Saudi Arabia!” But you will have just spent nine days in Israel - and that in and of itself is life-changing! I sure hope you will consider just traveling to Israel if the entire trip is not feasible.

We are having hot dogs after the church service this evening! I almost fear to say it is all you can eat…for I know some will take that as a challenge! But it will be a great time to fellowship. I want to thank the Conqueror’s Sunday School Class for hosting the event tonight. We will have hot dogs cooked on the grill, all the fixin’s, chips, and drinks available for everyone. We will have the fellowship in the parking lot, just behind the glass enclosure! I hope you will plan to be here.

King David said in Psalm 122:1, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.” In Psalm 118:24, David said, “This is the day which the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Truth is, we have much to rejoice in today!

Have a wonderful day in the Lord.
