From My Heart

Our Living Cross Presentation begins tonight at 7:00 p.m. We normally meet at 6:00, but we will begin this evening at 7:00. Next Sunday we will go back to our evening service starting at 6:00 p.m. This program is probably the biggest outreach program we do throughout the year, so I want to ask you to support this week-long effort to reach folks with the Gospel.

You can support this week with your presence and your prayers, by volunteering to help in the nursery or the parking lot, or by serving as an usher. Most importantly, you can help by inviting folks to come as your guests. You can use the tickets as a reminder for them to come. I sure hope we can count on all our church family participating and helping. The Lord will bless your efforts to make this week a great evangelistic outreach to see people saved.

There is a great deal of fear in our country today that we are headed for World War III. We are seeing Russia’s fight against Ukraine escalate with China and Iran getting involved in helping Russia with their effort! Russian aircraft shot down one of our drones flying in international air space, and not a single thing was done about it. It seems there is a great deal of pushing going on from that alliance of Russia, Iran, and China! And that has caused many pundits to start asking if we might be heading toward a much broader conflict.

And, of course, right in the middle of all this is the little nation of Israel, making regular runs in the Middle East to bomb Iranian interference in Syria, Iraq, and even in Iran itself. When asked about some warehouse that was blown to bits, the Israelis will say, “We will neither confirm nor deny that Israel had anything to do with this bombing.”

Of course, there is the Bible and its disclosure of how the end times will unfold. The Bible tells us the Antichrist and his false prophet will come along and offer peace to the world. So, his “plan for peace” must mean there will not be peace upon the earth when the Lord Jesus returns at the Rapture of the Church. Could we be close to the Lord’s return for His church? I think we certainly could be very close. I heard a preacher friend of mine say recently that it was his opinion that if we knew how close the Lord’s return for His church was, we would all be shaken to our very core! I sure hope and pray he is right!

This week is an opportunity for our Church to make a difference in the eternity of many folks. Would you like to get involved in making a difference? I hope you will pray, invite people, and come to help this week. Your presence, work, and help will make a difference! May the Lord bless us this week!

I trust you will have a wonderful day and enjoy being in church today.
