SYMPATHY: to David and Dianne Kirby at the passing of her nephew, David Sanders, on Thursday, April 15 in Connecticut. Funeral services will be private.
CONGRATULATIONS: to Bob and Jorai Dayhoff on the birth of their 7th grandchild, Jace Dawson Becker, on Friday, April 16, weighing 7 pounds and 20 1/2 inches long. The proud parents are Mike and Jillian Becker.
THANK YOU: for the many cards, phone calls and most of all your prayers for Gil and me. I am making progress with my recovery from knee surgery. It has been a little rough but God is good to get us through these difficult times. What a blessing Janet Switzer has been thru all of this. She is truly a Christian Servant. I am asking our church family to continue to pray for Gil as we strive to find the cause of his health issues. We are so happy to be a part of such a caring church. God is so good. From My Heart
It is not being widely reported, but the Middle East is literally on fire as you read this column. About 10 years ago, I told our church that I could guarantee you Iran will never have a nuclear bomb. When Obama and his State department sent billions upon billions of dollars to Iran, the country was shocked, and even though there was obvious corruption involved, they were never questioned. If you cannot build a nuclear program with billions and billions of cold hard cash, you will never be able to build a nuclear program.
Just after that traitorous action was reported, I remember stating clearly to you that it did not matter what the U.S. government did to help them, Iran will never have a nuclear bomb. If these crazy people running the country of Iran had a nuclear bomb, they would use it! After 73 years of dealing with the Muslim nations on her every side, Israel knows these people better than they know themselves. And Israel is not, and I say it again, “NOT” going to allow Iran to develop a nuclear bomb. They already have the capability to deliver one if they had it, but you can be assured Israel is not going to allow them the ability to create a bomb.
For the last several months, Israel has slowly and methodically taken actions which is crippling Iran's nuclear program. They have done many things to sabotage Iran's program, leaving no trace of even being in their facility. They have placed explosive devices in key places and then triggered them in the middle of the night to destroy underground operations. They have sent their stealth bombers into the night skies and blown-up cooling towers and things above ground, which have set back their nuclear ambitions by years.
Iran is never going to learn! None who lift their hand against the chosen people of God will prosper. The proxy groups which are run by the Iranian regime are becoming emboldened despite Israel's successes in stopping Iran. Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, and Hamas in Gaza have all been very active in the last few weeks.
Israel is watching Gaza with advanced technology and can pinpoint the exact building where Hamas is firing rockets into their cities. The minute they fire on Israel, Israel blows up the building before they can reload! And yet, they never learn! I read an editorial from an Israeli newspaper last week where the author claims if Iran retaliates and a full-blown war begins, Israel will eliminate these proxy groups once and for all. The author said it is his opinion that Israel will rid the Middle East of these cancerous groups that continuously terrorize the people of Israel.
The point is: things are once again heating up in the region of the world where when that region heats up - it is a good indication the Rapture of the Church is near. Keep looking up Christian! Today just might be the day we hear the trumpet sound. Have a great day!
