Conqueror’s Class – Sunday morning November 19, 2023

1.   Why is a flag carried (raised)?

     a.    When there is a flag, you can see who it belongs to.

     b.   The flag declares for whom we are fighting – for whom do we stand.

     c.    The flag above us declares to whom we are dedicated.

     d.   The flag proclaims in whom we are trusting.

2.   God has placed several banners over us.

     a.    Let us raise a flag of victory in the name of our God. He has given the flag of
            Victory. Psalm 20:5

     b.   Jehovah is our banner – Jehovah-nissi.Exodus17:11, 15-16 

     c.    God’s banner over us is love. Song of Solomon 2:4

     d.   The Lord will raise a flag among the nations indicating that Israel is His: “God is our
           Caregiver and Savior.” Isaiah 11:12,49:22

     e.    The Spirit of Jehovah will raise a banner against our enemies. “God is our Protector
            and Defender.” Isaiah 59:19 

     f.     One more banner over us: “Jesus is the King of kings.” John 12:32

3.   What flags/banners do we have raised over our house? 

     a.    The Banner: Jehovah is our God and creator. Psalms 95:7, 100:3

     b.   The Banner: The Word of God is the Truth. Deuteronomy 6:8-9, John 17:17

     c.    The Banner: Jesus is our liberator and redeemer. Job 19:25

     d.   The Banner: Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. Hebrews 12:1-2 

     e.    The Banner: God’s banner over us is love. 1 John 4:19-21

     f.     Let the world know of the banners God has placed over us. Isaiah 62:10
