Lesson: ‘Rejoice In The Lord’

I           : Habakkuk’s Second Dilemma

              A: The Question: ‘Why would God use the more wicked Chaldeans?’
                  (Habakkuk 1:12-2:1)

              B: God’s Answer: ‘Live By Faith!’
                  (In other words, God is saying, ‘Trust Me, Habakkuk!’) (Habakkuk 2:2-4)

              C: God’s Answer continued to Habakkuk: God Will Destroy The Chaldeans

                  1: God will destroy them for their Greed (Habakkuk 2:5-11)

                  2: God will destroy them for their Violence (Habakkuk 2:12-17)

                  3: God will destroy them for their Idolatry (Habakkuk 2:18-20)

II         : Habakkuk’s Prayer

             A: Habakkuk’s Prayer for Mercy (Habakkuk 3:1-2)

             B: Habakkuk’s Prayer of Praise (Habakkuk 3:3-15)

             C: Habakkuk’s Prayer of Joy (Habakkuk 3:16-19)

Conclusion:

Now let me ask YOU this question, dear Conqueror’s Class member…have YOU decided to ‘make the move’ yet??

You may ask, ‘Preacher, what move are you talking about?’

I’m talking about the move from the ‘gloom, despair, and agony on me’ sort of attitude to the attitude of rejoicing in the Lord for all He has done and wants to continue to do in your life today!

The fact is folks, in the midst of all our troubles and trials, you and I need to meditate on the things of God and upon His great mercy, goodness, and grace in our lives, and determine in our hearts that we are going to declare the LORD GOD as our strength.

Listen to me this morning folks, God WILL put joy in our heart so that we can move on in life with a sure-footed and joyful ‘spring in our step’, like that of the hind (deer) during the good times as well as the bad times if we will simply allow Him to do it!

Think about it this morning folks…What a wonderful God we have today!

Child of God, let’s you and I just determine to rejoice in the Lord in all that we do today!
