Conclusion:

God gave prophets to help His people know the ways of God and so that they would choose to listen and to obey the commands of God!

And although there were many good and godly prophets through the years, there were also many who prove themselves to be false prophets and who would lead the people of God in ways that were not God’s ways!

But one day, God promised that He would send His Ultimate Prophet, the Lord Jesus Christ, The Messiah, who would be born of a virgin, and who would speak the words of God without compromise and without apology and who would prove Himself to be very God in the form of man living upon this earth, “…full of grace and truth.”

It was God who gave His only begotten Son for the sins of the world! And it was, and still is today, GOD and GOD alone, who calls and sends His messengers of hope and peace into this present world of sin so as to point lost sinners to Jesus Christ as the Saviour of the world!
