From My Heart

The world continues to pressure Israel over the fact that the Palestinian people of Gaza are suffering in the war between Hamas and Israel. What most do not care to understand is how the people of Palestine voted for Hamas to govern them. They are in sympathy with Hamas! Do you remember 9/11, the day the planes flew into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon? Who could ever forget how the

media recorded the people in Gaza rejoicing! The cameras showed folks dancing in the streets and passing out candy in celebration of the death of 3,000 American citizens. Hamas uses women and children as human shields - and the people of Gaza are more than willing to help the jihad cause.

Israel is also being pressured by their own citizens because of the hostages. Many of those taken were women and children, and it has been so traumatic for these families who have no idea if their loved ones are still alive. The pressure from inside Israel to have the hostages released has created a huge burden for the Netanyahu administration.

I was watching “I24”, which is an Israeli English-speaking television channel from Tel Aviv, last Monday - and they had some retired military guests who were discussing why Israel would give this cease-fire to Hamas. One of the retired officers from the Mossad said the Israelis have made it impossible for Iran or any other nation to re-supply Hamas. The tunnels have been dealt with, there is no way to ship anything in, and no way to fly anything in to allow Hamas to restock their weapons capabilities. He said that everything is being controlled by Israel, and the focus is to get the hostages back.

This war is far from over, and you can be assured the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) are watching where these Red Crescent vehicles delivering the hostages are going, once they return to Gaza.  Netanyahu has stated that Hamas must be eliminated - and they will not stop until they have accomplished that goal! These conflicts are usually over and done in a few days but this one is seemingly going to be a lengthy drawn-out ordeal, complicated by the hostages.

The officer on the I24 news program said the Hamas terrorists are all “dead men walking” and it is just a matter of time before they are eliminated. He vowed that the IDF would not stop until they had gotten every hostage back and eliminated every member of Hamas.

In the meantime, we should pray for the “peace of Jerusalem.” When we pray for that peace, we are praying for the Lord Jesus to return! And I say that because the Lord Jesus is the only One who can and who will, bring peace to that troubled part of our world! “Even so, come Lord Jesus!”
