From My Heart

We welcome Dr. Shelton Smith to preach for us today! Dr. Smith is the Editor of the Sword of the Lord and has been ever since leaving here as the Pastor of our Church in 1995. He travels across America preaching in churches and hosting Sword Conferences. He was the Pastor of our church for 17 ½ years before moving on to become the Editor of the Sword. We also welcome his wife, Betty, traveling with him for this trip.

Did you hear what the “climate alarmists” said this week about the fire that destroyed the town on the island of Maui? Yes, climate change caused the fire to destroy that town! The Governor of the city of Lahaina blamed the deadly fire, which destroyed the city and killed at least 115 people, on climate change.

Even though the cause of the fire has not been determined, the Governor believes he has it all figured out: climate change is the

culprit. This has caused the “alarmists” to come out in full force and call on President Biden to declare what they are calling a “climate emergency” so the Democrats can initiate new laws, new regulations, and new guidelines to cut carbon emissions and reverse the climate change that is causing all the natural disasters around the globe.

Of course, the elitists will still be able to have their gas-fueled

vehicles, their jets, and their luxuries - but we “peasants” should be so thankful there are folks who know so much more than we know - we will have to make some serious sacrifices! And naturally, gas prices will go through the ceiling (again), air travel will become unaffordable, and it will cost a small fortune to keep our houses warm in winter! But we can all feel so good about ourselves because we are doing our part to save the planet! The very soul of our country is being ripped apart by this deluded bunch of Progressive Liberals running things!

Weather is cyclical - meaning it runs in cycles! You will notice when giving the almanac report on local news, they will usually give you the record high and the record low temperature for whatever day they are discussing. So, if there is a record about to be broken, they will tell you that record was set so many years ago! A few years ago, I remember the fellow on WBAL (Ch 11) showing the record

temperature for that day was set way back in the 1890’s! The weather is cyclical!

Look at Genesis 8:22, God promised Noah after the Flood, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” God set the weather in this fashion - and it has never varied. But the alarmists want to use it to push their Socialist agenda!
