CHRISTMAS OUTREACH: the tree is up in the foyer with name tags of children who have a parent at the Carroll County Detention Center. You can be a blessing by choosing a tag to purchase an item for a child or by donating money for the cost of Bibles or turkeys that will accompany the gifts. See Donna Dyson if you have any questions.

GOOD SHEPHERD CLASS: is having their annual Christmas Dinner on Sunday, December 4. They are in need of 5 cooked, sliced, and deboned turkeys for the occasion. They should be delivered to the Great Room Kitchen by 9:30 am that morning in a disposable pan with broth in a separate disposable container. They also need 3 homemade pumpkin pies and dinner rolls. Please sign up at the Welcome Desk if you can help. Thank you!

CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS: Forms are now available at the Welcome Desk to purchase a poinsettia in memory or in honor of loved ones. Orders may also be placed online through the church website. All orders must be received by Sunday, December 4.

From My Heart

We are so happy to have everyone with us today as we celebrate Veterans Day. I trust you will enjoy this special service Pastor Brian has pieced together. At our church, we appreciate all our veterans! Without our military to protect our freedom and liberty, one wonders if we would even have the same America we know today, and I doubt we would! If you served in the military of the United States, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I suppose there has never been a time when there has been so many strange and unusual things happening in our world - most without explanation. In this day where everyone has a camera in their hands every waking moment, many strange happenings have been recorded! Granted, videos can be faked, but some strange things are being recorded in today’s world, and not all are faked. And strangely, there is no logical or rational explanation for many of these things seen.

In the Gospel of Luke 21:11, the Lord Jesus was speaking of the last days before His return to the earth, and He said, “…great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences (like Covid, Monkeypox, etc.); and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.” People all over the planet have reported seeing things in the skies (during both daytime and night) which have no explanation.

This week, on Tuesday, we saw a “blood moon,” and many people were afraid it was an omen or a sign that God was telling the world that the time for judgment has come. We have never seen so many strange things all happening at the same time!

It seems there has also been an increase in demonic activity around the planet. Again, strange things are happening like statues and icons blinking, crying tears, or moving - giving folks the impression they are trying to relay a message. Add to these crazy happenings the natural decline in morality and ethics - and you end up with a world that is in total chaos. And I believe this is the world the Devil is creating today so men will be ready to fall in line to follow the Antichrist when the Lord returns for His Church.

In Revelation 16:12, John tells us the Euphrates River will dry up during the 7 years of Tribulation. Well, the Euphrates River is drying up! The Euphrates flowed through the Garden of Eden when God created the earth - and now it is drying up, just as God said it would in Rev. 16:12!

I dare say, all these signs are pointing to our Lord’s soon return! Luke 21:28 says, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” Surely, the day of the Lord is at hand!
