From My Heart

Last Sunday evening, on 60 Minutes, Joe Biden was asked about his son’s alleged overseas business dealings.  Once again, Biden said his son, Hunter, was innocent of all the things he is being accused of doing.  The timing of his interview could not have been scripted any better than it was!  On Tuesday (September 20), the Republicans in the House of Representatives sent a Resolution of Inquiry to the White House, asking them to release all documents related to the matter of the Biden family and their overseas business dealings.

Now, if Joe Biden’s claim that there is no wrongdoing is accurate and it is the truth, then the White House should readily clear things up and release the documents!  Doesn’t it stand to reason if Biden is telling the truth, there would be nothing to hide?  At least it seems that way to me!  We will see if the Biden people go along with the full disclosure request being made by the Congressional Republicans.  My guess is, they won’t!

In I Kings 8, King Solomon finished the Temple and was having a huge dedication service.  They brought the Tabernacle that God showed Moses how to build and placed all of it inside the Holy Place, and then brought the Ark of the Covenant and set it in the Holy of Holies.  Solomon then says when the Ark of the Covenant was brought in, there was nothing inside the Ark except for the Two Tablets of Stone, or the Ten Commandments written by the finger of God.

If you turn to Hebrews 9:1-4, you will see that Moses had placed three items inside the Ark: the Golden Pot of Manna, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the Two Tablets. Yet, when Solomon built the Temple, the manna and Aaron’s rod were missing. What happened to them?  Well, as far as I can tell, nobody knows for sure.  Did the Philistines take them when they captured the Ark?  We do not know!

The Manna was a picture of the Living Word and the Written Word- the Bible!  I think it is safe to say America has certainly lost both the Living and the Written Word!  Aaron’s rod pictures the resurrection of our Blessed Savior.  That rod was cut from a living tree and was dead, but out of the 12 rods, one from each of the 12 Tribes, Aaron’s was the only one that was budding and bore fruit.  It was dead, but it was miraculously given life!  Who gave it life?  God did!  And God the Father raised His Son from the dead and brought Him back to life through a bodily resurrection!  Sadly, America has lost the message of the Resurrection!

America needs to get the Word of God back in her Ark, as well as the doctrine of the Resurrection of Christ, which is necessary for us to believe in for salvation (Romans 10:9). Let’s pray America gets these items back before it is too late!

Have a great day!
