CONCLUSION…
God does not promise us, as His people, that we will be immune to temptation because temptation teaches us to learn to trust the Lord God and the His Holy Word even more!
But what God DOES promise is that He will provide His “little children” the means to overcome each and every temptation successfully!
I Corinthians 10:13 promises us, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
Some false religions emphasize good character and family values and their followers are generally nice people with admirable dedication to what they believe and teach…but that does not mean they have been genuinely been saved and birthed into the family of God!
Often such false religions will attract believers based upon their good moral qualities and actions alone while actually straying from the TRUTHS of the Word of God! A truly born again believer must learn to stay in the Word of God and be led by the Holy Spirit of God so as to avoid being ‘captured’ by the seductive temptations of the enemies of God!
Invitation:
Child of God, let’s determine today that we are going to walk in the Truth of the Word of God through our genuine relationship with Christ!
Child of God, let me ask you this morning, are you walking and abiding in Truth today?? If you were being put on trial for being a Christian today, would there be enough evidence to convict you??
The true test of faith is how you and I, as truly born again children of God, accept and abide in the truth of God’s Holy Word!
And then perhaps you are listening to the sound of my voice today and you do not yet know Jesus as your own personal Saviour, we want you to know that God loves you today, and He wants you to know the love of God today through a personal relationship with His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ...If you are not certain of your salvation, you can be today! Won’t you repent of your sin and call upon the Lord to save you today??
