Lesson: ‘The Triumphant Suffering of Messiah’

I           : The Sepulcher for the Sacrifice (Isaiah 53:9)

II         : The Satisfaction of the Sovereign

            A: Because His Bruising Was Pleasing (Isaiah 53:10)

            B: Because His Days Are Prolonged (Isaiah 53:10)

            C: Because His Travail Was Productive (Isaiah 53:11)

            D: Because His Pleasure Shall Prosper (Isaiah 53:10)

III        : The Salvation for the Seed

            A: The Perplexity of Sovereigns (Isaiah 52:13-15, 53:1-5)

            B: The Provision of Sprinkling (Isaiah 52:15)

            C: The Promise of Salvation (Isaiah 53:5, 10, 11)

IV        : The Supplication for the Sinner (Isaiah 53:12)

V         : The Supremacy of the Saviour (Isaiah 53:12)

Conclusion:

Messiah’s suffering indeed brought forth many benefits to a world that was lost and dying in sin, one of which was your salvation and mine!

And although the results of His suffering are indeed glorious and are far beyond all human understanding, you and I have been given a divine responsibility in reaching our lost world with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

On this Resurrection Sunday morning, may we each look at all the Lord has done in bringing unto us so great a salvation that only God Himself could ever provide, and allow our love and appreciation for all He has done for us to make us ever more willing to take the message of the Gospel to all the ends of the earth, beginning right where we live, and work, and play each day!

And ‘why’??

I believe this lesson teaches us ‘why’, and that reason being that when God the Father saw the travail of His dear Son’s soul, Almighty God was satisfied that your debt for sin, and that my debt for sin, had indeed been paid for in full.

And now, in love and appreciation for what God has done, you and I can live in the joy and happiness of our great salvation, and be willing to go and tell all the world of what Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah, has done for them!

Conqueror’s Class member, if you have truly been born again, then you also have a great responsibility to lovingly go forth so as to teach others of the death, burial, and bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ!
