Introduction To Today’s Lesson:

Sometimes, you and I are prone to forget God’s goodness in our lives, aren’t we? But our lesson this morning should serve as a reminder of ‘why’ there should be joy in our hearts and lives each and every day as God’s dear children! There should be a true sense of gratitude in our day to day lives that causes us to thank the Lord for all His blessings, even perhaps when we cannot fully see the blessing in the midst of our particular time of troubles!

Folks, never forget what God has done for you!

And as we look at these last three chapters in the book of Esther, I want you to take note of how God’s mighty hand of providence and power gives us cause to celebrate God’s goodness in our lives each and every day as we consider how good God is and has been, to each of us! The words of a great song say…

“How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!
What more can He say than to you He hath said,
who unto the Savior for refuge have fled?”

“In every condition, in sickness, in health,
in poverty's vale, or abounding in wealth,
at home and abroad, on the land, on the sea,
as days may demand, shall thy strength ever be.”

“Fear not, I am with thee; O be not dismayed,
for I am thy God and will still give thee aid.
I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,
upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.”

“When through the deep waters I call thee to go,
the rivers of sorrow shall not overflow;
for I will be with thee, thy troubles to bless,
and sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.”

“When through fiery trials thy pathway shall lie,
My grace, all-sufficient, shall be thy supply.
The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.”

 “The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose
I will not, I will not desert to his foes;
that soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I'll never, no never, no never forsake!”

Conclusion:

Now let me ask you today, dear child of God…what do YOU have to be thankful for today??

What has God done for you that you need to celebrate and let others know about?

Oh dear folks, never forget all that God has done for you!

The day that God saved you should be a wonderful day of celebration and gratitude! The day that you chose to follow Jesus and to dedicate your heart and life unto Him should be a great day of remembrance and eternal hope and blessing too!

God is faithful to deliver, but we need to be a people who choose never to forget God’s faithfulness! Let’s celebrate God in all that we do—not only today, but in the days to come as well!

Next Sunday, we will begin a series of lessons entitled, “Staying on Course” from the New Testament books of I and II Thessalonians. What a tremendous series of lessons this should turn out to be, especially as we draw nearer and nearer to our Lord's eminent return!
