Conclusion:

As God strengthened Ezra, Ezra in turn strengthened the people of God through the preaching of the Word of God, and he then selected out of Israel, chief men to go up with him to Jerusalem so as to accomplish the work of God!

As I read this chapter, I could not help but think of two Scripture passages found in the New Testament, the first passage, written by the Apostle Paul over in I Corinthians 16:9 which say, “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.”, and the second being found in the book of the Revelation where Jesus said to the church at Philadelphia, “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.”
