M.O.M.S. is a ministry of encouragement and support to mothers of all ages. We have moms in all stages in life, from moms of infants to mothers of high-schoolers. We meet twice each month during the school year to study God’s Word, talk about issues we all face on a daily basis, share advice and experiences, while enjoying a light breakfast together. We end each meeting in prayer for the needs for each mom and her family. Our topics have covered such things as Biblical Discipline, Godly Women throughout History, Realities of Marriage and Ideas on Economizing. This year our theme will be “An Unbroken Circle” and our theme verse will be from III John 1:4, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth”.
While we relax, laugh and cry together each meeting, our children are also learning. For homeschooling families we have a time for children ages 6 and up to use the Carroll Christian Library to complete assignments given by their mother. Art lessons are also available one meeting each month to this age group (free of charge). Children ages 3 – 5 enjoy a program where they hear Bible-based stories, have craft time, sing songs and have a snack. Nursery is provided for infants and children ages 2 and under. We have a wonderful group of volunteers who staff our children’s program and provide a loving and safe environment.
M.O.M.S. meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, beginning in September and continuing through May. We enjoy some special events throughout the year: Each January we have our “After Christmas Brunch” where we celebrate Christmas after all the rush is over. In the spring we have our Plant Exchange and finally we finish up each year with our “End of Year Tea” during the last meeting in May.
Check back near the beginning of the new school year to find out when M.O.M.S. starts up again!
Joyful Connections is a group for ladies of all ages that meets the first Monday of each month for prayer, Bible Study, and encouragement to one another. We meet on the first Monday evening of each month from 6:45 pm until 8:30 pm in Rooms 417 & 418 at the church.
James 5:16 reminds us that “…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Every Sunday afternoon men and women in our church meet to pray for the various services and ministries of our church.
The women meet in Room 301 each Sunday afternoon at 5:00 pm to pray for the various services and ministries of our church. We hope you will please come and join us as we lift up our petitions and make known our needs and supplications unto the Lord each Sunday before our evening service.
